Ann: "Ok Rita, this doesn't look like the customer service area."
Rita: "I know, I'm just taking a quick look. I just like to check out the purses and shoes. You know just to see if anything peeks my interest."
Ann: "I see right now, we are going to be in Macy's longer than we should? I just want to "check" on the shower curtains. Nothing fancy, ya know."
Rita: "This is my favorite place to come and window shop. I'm impress by you anyway, holding back keeping yourself restrained. Your not even interested in looking at shoes."
Ann: "It just takes discipline. Let's just leave the shoes behind and head over to the Books-A-Million."
Rita: "I think your trying not to whip out that charge card, hee, heee. You seem a little antsy there."
Ann: "Not at all. I know how to restrain myself, hee, heee."
Rita: "Ohh, I see. Well, you know if we go this way will will pass your favorite department."
Ann: "I have no ideal what you mean."
Rita: "Riiggghhhttt. Let's go with that."
Ann: "Rita, I must tell you something."
Rita: "Sure, is something wrong? You're looking a little flushed."
Ann: "Weeelll....yes and I'm about to do something about that right now."
Rita: "Ok, what is it? Do I need to call Nathaniel?"
Ann: "This is Macy's and they are ALL my favorite departments. Yes, I'm giving in. Look those towels are 60% off and the comforter sets were 60% plus an additional 15% with your Macy's card.
Rita: "Oh, Wow!, your super vision read the sign too? Jeez, even I didn't know that.
Ann: "Stand back!, it about to go down."
Rita: "Don't blame me for your addiction, hee. hee."
Ann: "Whatever, hold my purse."

Cute story! I hope both ladies find something they can't resist. Speaking of Macy's, I got a gift card for Valentine's Day that I need to use. Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteLOL, you sound like my son. He has a Barnes and Noble and don't know were he put it.
DeleteMacy's always has the best sales! How can you resist 60% off? I wouldn't be able to either. I'm with Ann, lol. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is my mother favorite store. My mother had picked up 6 pairs of shoe one day and I had to ask her did she lose her mind, she was like ask me when the bill comes because everything was on sale.
DeleteHello from Spain: fabulous story. Very real. In sales time I'm like Anna. Great looks. Nice pics. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteI can always find a few things at Macy too!
DeleteHaha,Ann sounds like me! Can't resist a good sale!
ReplyDeleteMacy is my mother favorite hangout. She really enjoys "window" shopping there.
DeleteThey should both feel free to shop to their hearts' desire. Live in the moment, pay on the card later.
ReplyDeleteJaye, that was my father favorite saying, "let's worry about next month". He was one of those men who didn't shop much but when he did, look out.
DeleteBoth ladies are looking very nice. Did you make the pink coat and top? Nothing like a Macy's sale. I don't blame them. Not the best place to window shop because you can always find something affordable that you just have to have.
ReplyDeleteYes, I made the top last year and the coat was part of an ensemble that I can't recall. The ladies have more outfits I made for them to get them started on a decent wardrobe. I've been staying out of Macy's, thanks to my dentist, lol!
DeleteCute story, Brini. Give a woman a credit card and let her see a sale sign and it's "on" for whatever it is that she loves consuming. :-)

I so agree. I'm trying to Universal Studios this summer so I have to look the other way when I see sale signs.
DeleteOkay, but do your ladies know how addictive all of THEM are!!! (P.S. Love the haircuts!!!)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that a weekness we all have fault with, lol.
DeleteLOL, quick look my eye. Just stay out of Macy's and no one gets hurt.
ReplyDeleteHello! I just discovered your blog and I love it. A fun and very interesting story. Very nice pictures. Ann has a lot of will.
