Snap!...Crack!....Pop!

CRACK!! I knew it was just a matter of time. Curtis was going to need a new body.

I have been looking for a body donor for Curtis for awhile. As you can see he has suffered some cracking.

Yes, it happen on the other side too. Of course I was able to glue the pieces back in place but I decided not to attach his legs back. I was hoping to find a nice articulate body, I think he deserve one. So I will surf the net to find one from time to time.  In the meantime there was a body sitting in the doll box I decided to use.

Curtis: "Hello Everyone!. I'll blame my injuries on the wedding me and Cara attended. I can work with this body. I see no difference. Let me show you."

Curtis: "No problem doing push-ups!"

Curtis: "Even a handstand is easy."

Curtis: "Jumping jacks are a cinch!"

Curtis: "See no problem. What do you think?"

  1. Glad you found another body that fits Curtis. He looks and acts as good as new. Has he been drinking Red Bull or something?

    1. I let Muff know I was channeling you and her! What glue to use and how to dye plastic dolls. I still might try it too. When you posted that you did I know that might be Curtis fate. I'm just clad he can sit and bend knees now. I was always wondering if this would be the day he falls ab apart. I knew it was possible to fix him so I just had to.

  5. Curtis must have been very active in his old body 'cause those are some serious cracks. I wish I knew a way to simply open doll bodies without damaging them.

  6. That older body can be a problem. I have a Curtic I put on a Brad body. The complexions match up well. I hope you find an articulated body for him. I am looking for one too! I have a couple of Mattle AA men that could use a articulated body!

  10. I hate when my old favorites show their age. I cracked the neck of my wavey haired Janay doll and can't win or find a suitable replacement. I would love to give her articulation but I havet seen many dark skinned articultated bodies. Im glad you were able to find a body for Curtis. I hope you find his perfect match soon.

    1. It's always hard find darker bodies to match dolls we have in our collections. I was always looking but could never find one. I figured I better use one I got. One day I will find one, one day!
