Bambi Instead

I woke up this morning and decided I better check on the crew over in Dotsville. Everyone has been busy doing this and that. I figure since it was such a nice day I'll get out on the patio and play. So I pulled dolls out and was deciding on what house today scenes should take place in. So nature made the decision for me. Bambi dropped by.

Now I didn't move while she was out there nibbling on the shrubs. I just looked at her and slowly reached for my camera. So she turned away and I thought she was leaving. Well she decided she needed to take a closer look. So I just stood there and watched her, so she came a little closer. So now my city instinct kick in, I don't know what they do here in Charlotte but I went back in the apartment, close the patio door and waited, yes, waited for her to leave. All the time thinking my doggone dolls are out there helpless!!, just out there on the patio!! So Bambi came a little closer when she heard a noise she turned and left this time. I went back outside and picked my dolls up and looked at them and they informed me, "It's a wrap! "Not today, since you left us out there with that giant beast. On the patio,  just out there!"

The one thing I love about this complex is that deers always find way to this area. It's quite, lots of shade, they can slip in and out the woods and there is not a lot of movement to scare them off. They are definitely beautiful animals but if she would picked up my dolls, trust me  it would of been on!  I would of tracked her down like I was Ted Nugent!!

So much for my father day post. Please let the men in your life know I am wishing them a Happy Father's Day!!!  Their knowledge, experience and wisdom are always needed! Their love is always appreciated!!

  1. Well, at least she didn't go near the dolls!
She's a cutie though, seems pretty curious too.

  2. LOL! I would have done the same thing you did, minus taking the picture outside: head for the hills. LOL!

I'm glad she didn't bother your dolls.

You're a brave one. Any picture taking (for me) would have been done from inside.

  3. Hahahahaha! This post made me laugh so much! I bet your dolls were saying, "Oh no she didn't just go in there and close the door!" You are going to have to make it up to them. I haven't been out on my patio in years because there is a giant skink living in the storage closet. Shoot, he can have that patio.

    1. Muff, I don't mind the lizards, butterflies, frogs and occasional turtle but a deer. She was in stealth mode and my heart was already racing! I just didn't want her to raise up and kick me. That would of not been pretty!

  4. Hello from Spain: I see you live in close contact with the Nature. I think that would be afraid. Happy Father's Day! Keep in touch.

    1. Yes, we do get to see nature when the weather gets hot. I know there are snakes this way too but I haven't came across them yet.

  5. What a treat! Aren't they beautiful animals? I'm surprised she came closer. Poor dolls. Left to fend for themselves. I used to have 3 deer that visited my backyard. I was always worried my little dog, Teddy, would want to say hello. He loved playing with big animals. I would have to snatch him up before he saw them.
@ Muff - Do you have a skank or a skunk living in your storage closet?

    1. @Vanessa. No, I have a skink. It's a type of lizard. It's about 8 inches long. Lol, if I had skunk I'd call animal control. For a skink I pretty much need a cat. If I had a skank I'd guess I'd ask her what the heck she was doing living in my storage closet.

    2. A treat indeed but I left my dolls out there and lord knows I've should of known better!

Hey Muff, maybe that what my lizards are. They are small and a pretty shade of blue. We have some Feral cats that live by Sam's club and they roam this way too. There is one we call Killer. He/She strolls this way hangs out on our patio and checks things out. Not sure if they are being eaten though. Killer always comes back with a bird.
