Hello I was listed on Ebay as a Vintage Zapf Creation 22" African American Girl Doll with box. I was in the original box and original clothes straight from the doll manufactor. I had no name and was so ready for a new home. I was so happy that Brini open her arms to me. She told me the whole reason she was searching high and low for a Vintage Zapf Creation Doll was due to this blog post here and she wasn't going to give up. She was originally looking for that Zapf Creation Doll named Jessica but she found me instead! I'm so loved here. As you can see I had to get out of the packaging box and check things out.
After a thoroughly check, Brini wanted to make sure I was in prestine condition, which is recommend by DGB. She always says to look your dolls over and check for "imperfections". Trust me she did and I think the only thing was wrong was my socks were a little discolored. I let her know I was sitting in a box not knowing what my future holds. My dress was perfect as in my hair, shoes, undies and body. I passed the test and here is my first picture. I really like this chair and some days I'm sitting her with the remote in my hand. I do like it here along with the other dolls.
When I first arrived here in Dotsville there were Barbies everywhere. I mean they were in boxes in the closet, posed on shelves, sitting on shelves, waiting to be changed, waiting to photgraphed. Just everywhere and I was wondering where my size dollies were but there weren't any. I just knew I was going to be spoiled. I had already had a wardrobe waiting for me. Can anyone say loved. I am very loved.
Pick-A-Boo!! Today I get ready for my first Easter picture. I look so pretty and I just love my dress.
Ok, I'm almost ready, hee hee. I was trying not to get dirty and spoil the picuture so I'm almost ready. Hee, Hee.
Ok, I was a little fussy because I wanted Bear in the picture. You see he sits on a shelf too. He is surrounded by Barbies so I fiqured he can take the picture with me. Bear is my best friend!
So my friends, my name is now Scarlett. Brini says as soon as she took me out the box she knew that was my name. I know she still looking for Jessica and that fine with me. As you can see I am spoiled but most important...LOVED.
Happy Easter everyone.
Scarett is adorable! Congrats on getting her!
ReplyDeleteThanks Verona, she just had to come and live with me. I really do put her in the chair with the remote and it trips my son out, lol.
DeleteShe is darling! And she is definitely in a wonderful home!
ReplyDeleteThank you Alura, I really did have three outfits for before she got here. It was just her time to shine.
DeleteWhat a cutie. She found the right home.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter :O)
She really did!! She was listed on ebay, just waiting for a new home and to be loved!
DeleteScarlett is so adorable and she looks so pretty in yellow. I think that is her color.
ReplyDeleteI have a doll like her along with her brother. They are nice big babies made in Western Germany prior to Germany's unification as one country. My two have not been featured on my blog, but they are included in my second book (Scroll down at the link to see her and other similar Zapf dolls.) My girl's name is Jessica, but she is not the same as the doll that inspired Scarlett's purchase.
I am so glad you were able to find a doll similar to Jessica and hope that you will soon find Jessica, too.

Debbie I so love her! When she arrived she was in her original box and I thought about you. I had already been reading your book and amazed at all the beautiful dolls. I smiled to myself and just thought how lucky you are to have such a wonderful collection. Scarlett is a big doll and she does freak my son out when I have her in the chair. I plan on finding a chair for her to sit in so she can have her a special space too.
DeleteIf I find Jessica then that will be nice, if not that ok. I just happy to have Scarlett.
Happy Easter and welcome, Scarlett! Nice to meet you. ^_^
ReplyDeleteThanks Muff! She just like our fashion dolls. She requires a wardrobe and accessories.
DeleteHello from Spain: Scarlett is adorable. I have a doll very similar to yours. They look like real girls. The photo you were very nice. I like to see your dolls apart from the Barbies. Keep in touch.
