Never easy

When I woke up yesterday it was going to be a day of exercise and window shopping. You see, here in Charlotte I can get my 2 mile walk in as well as stop by Ross, TJ Maxx, Michael's and Khol's. On a good day if I decided to walk another mile I could add Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Target, Big Lots and another TJ Maxx to the route all while listening to my favorite tunes. I usually start with Mary J Blige's song "Just fine." It's one of those tunes that get you going. As I wind down my walk I prefer a slow jam and yesterday it was Luther Vandross's song "Dance with my Father." It's one of my favorite album by one of my all time favorite artist. Then the news.

I don't know what to say and I know it never easy trying to understand. We have lost another beautiful voice, Whitney Houston. I remember her on the Seventeen cover magazine, I remember her first video, I remember her duet with Jermaine Jackson, I remember her first grammy, I remember her rendition of Disney's Cinderalla with the young and talented Brandy, I remember her performance in the movie The Body Guard, I remember when she married the singer Bobby Brown from the New Edition group, I remember when her daughter, Bobbi Kristina was born, I remember all the good and bad press. Yes, we all remember but that is how I will celebrate her life, remembering. She was a living doll in her own right.

My condolences goes out to her family. My heart is really sadden for her daughter, Bobbi Kristina. She lost her confidant, friend, buddy but most important, her mother.

Although the voice is silent, her spirit will live on. Thank you Whitney Houston. I will always love you.
