20/20 is hindsight

It did not dawn on me until today to start stating who my dolls used to be. So please accept my apologizes. So from now on when the dolls are introducing themselves to you, they'll get a chance to tell you who they where before. I don't know why it did not occur to me especially when I read like my morning newspaper! Just a wealth of information on all dolls!! Thank you Debbie, you are so loved over here.

On that note, Ann & Nathaniel are the Happy Family Grandparents. They were part of the giftset that included a great kitchen with really fun accessories (Hey Vanessa of Van Doll Treasures, stored in the attic, there is absolutely no room in the basement!) I just had to get them, the dolls finally had parents, I mean Cara had parents!!

Free Moving Cara and Free Moving Curtis have kept their names respectfully. There was no way I would change their names. They were perfect.

What can I say about Barbie Basic #08. As soon as I opened the box I knew her name would be Vanessa! She just stunning and in my opinion a great addition to the family.

Of course, the real spoiled one of the bunch is Beauty, which is her original name.

  1. LOL@ reading like the morning paper -- I'm honored!

For those who may not be familiar with the particular doll in the family you've created who may also want to add one to their collection or purchase one for whatever reason, it always helps to let your readers know the doll's given name and/or manufacturer. You don't have to do this, but it will help your audience of readers.

    1. You know how much I appreciate you! In going forward I want to make sure to state the doll's given name as well as the manufacturer. As my doll domain grows I want it to evolve and serve as a diary of some of the great dolls that were manufactured and sold by Mattel.

  2. It really does make sense! Sidebar--OMG, you knew, you knew, didn't you! I love my first Fashion Royalty!! She fits her name to a "T". I just can't take her out the box yet! She like a present!! I'm so in trouble, lol.

  3. Hello from spain, very good explanation but i´m sure we have some dolls that we do not know what they are. Al least to me is because the change of clothes or i have saved and rescured from the basement. I have not happy family and every time i see your Ann and Nathaniel i love them. Keep in touch

  4. Hi Marta, I know it will help out alot with all the dollies that will appear in Dotsville. I love including the Happy Family Grandparents in my story. I was lucky to have my grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, sisters, brothers even pets most of my life. It's important that they represent the foundation of a "Happy Family", no pun intended.

  5. At least you caught it in time before you were deep into your stories. I am happy to say, there is nothing in my attic. I don't know I can love Mbili facemold dolls so much. Each doll to me is so different. Model #8 is amazing to me. I really have to go get her soon. Seems like her lips are different, even though I know they probably aren't. Stunning is a perfect word for her.

(As you can see, I am playing catch up)
