As you can tell I am VERY excited. I came home to the best news ever! Yes, there has been many pep talks, moral booster, disrupted sleeps, anxiety attacks and lots of prayer but all things are possible when God is on your side.
After three years my son will be starting his new job. My son was laid off from his engineering job and he seemed lost at times, feeling like he was missing out and his skills were diminishing. There were time I had to tell him to look at his degree, tell me how you think you are missing out? You are equipped with all the knowledge it takes to earn that "piece of paper" as he would put it. Yes, you read it correctly, he would refer to it as a "piece of paper"! The nerve!!!
I'm happy I can breath again. Not meaning things were bad but I can breath. I can treat myself to a few silkies now without thinking about it. I can buy me two pair of shoes if I want! I can search for my holy grail but after I payoff the rest of my debts. I want to be in the black by the end of the year not teetering on shades of red with a touch of black.
My son is back in engineering field again. What is a great feeling.
Take care everybody!
Congratulations to your son and to you, Brini!

Thank you so much! When I arrived home he was making the glaze for the pound cake he whipped up. My favorite cake of all time!
DeleteThat's so awesome! Congrats to your son and you too for being an amazing mom.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracy, it has been a true test for sure. He was so down sometimes, I just refused to believe he was out of the game. Today college kids just don't know, it is a different when you cross the stage. This real world is tough and you have to be open and resourceful at all times.
DeleteCongratulations! I'm so glad things are working out!
ReplyDeleteThey will be Alura, they will be. I told him the first big thing I was going to do was get the three top dolls on my list. Oh yeah, and get to the dentist, lol.
DeleteCongratulations to your son! My brother has been out of engineering since 2008 but he is thinking of throwing his hat back in the ring. Wishing you both peace and prosperity.
ReplyDeletePlease tell him to do it. My son was just starting his career in 2008, that's how we ended up in Charlotte. There is not a big demand her but my son has been seeing a lot of jobs now. He has less than two year experience so it been challenging but he kept at it.
DeleteHello from Spain: I am happy for your son. Congratulations. It's a great time for your family. Glad your joy. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteThanks Marta, now I don't have to chose between a doll item or something else. I can get a printer so I can create great rooms like you!
DeleteCongrats to you both! Yippee!
ReplyDeleteI know and you know I have to get both Stephen Burrows Barbie and that gorgeous Ball Gown Silkie, like right now!
DeleteFelicidades. Que bonito es tener una familia. Ten linda semana.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I'm just glad he is back in his field. I sacrifice of doll items to keep the ship from sinking so this is a great feeling.
DeleteI am so happy for you both! It is hard to be happy when your children are not.
ReplyDeleteI do believe you said it the best!! It was just a storm I had to really keep my shield on and my faith up!
DeleteCongrats to both of you! I can be quite disappointing to not have a job. He must feel a lot better. No matter what the Republicans say, I do think the economy is turning around!
ReplyDeleteI'm as just so happy, I have a holy grail that must relocate to Dotsville to spice somethings up! I'm so happy for him and my purse is happy too. Ms. Leo I can finally splurge a little.
