My sister called last Sunday with the news of my aunt passing away. She suffered a massive stroke that left her in a coma. Me and my son did visit her the last time we were in Detroit, even my brother Derek came along. If there was anyone to "stimulate" the senses, he is surely the one. The doctors say that the body moves involunatarily and boy did she move! Aunt Vivian arms moved as if she was telling us, "I may not be able to speak, but YES!!, I can hear Derek!" My brother has the nack for saying things which in turn will get you to respond. So I'm glad she was responding!! My aunt was a true living doll! She was beautiful, tall, educated, well dressed, fun, disciplined, hardworking, loving, understanding, knowledgable, informative, basically loved.
We were lucky to have aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents that we were excited to see, visit and laugh with throughout our lives. Always a phone call away or a bus ride or two. Some kids may not have the chance, experience or opportunities in their lives because families have changed, foundations have changed. I'm glad to have that foundation in my life, more importantly my son has it too. I'm glad Aunt Vivian is now home. I know she was welcomed with open arms!
Please help me celebrate her life. In honor om my late aunt, I would like for you to meet Vivian Ware.
Hello friends! My name is Vivian Ware. I was formally Kara from Mattel's So In Style Barbie Roca Wear line. As you can see I am in my original outfit which consist of a graphic tee with knee length shorts which sports the RW logo. My accessories include a pink purse with the RW logo, pink strapped heels with gold accent, gold bracelet and gold hoop earrings. I'm very stylish, very fashionable. I relocated to Dotsville and am so glad to be out the box!! I hope to see you all soon.
Hello from Spain: I'm sorry about your aunt. It is a great pity. I agree with you that what matters most is the family and good values. Regarding your doll Vivian Ware is very pretty and has a beautiful clothes. I look forward to seeing her in one of your stories. Mood at your aunt. Keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteThank you Marta! I appreciate your comments and you. She suffered some setbacks throughout her illness but my mother made sure we knew what was going on with her and to see her when we went home to Detroit. I know she heard us praying for her.
DeleteSo sorry to hear about the loss of your aunt Vivian , extending our deepest condolences to you and your family. I am lifting your family up in prayer & send comforting hugs your way. I look forward to seeing your stories featuring Vivian. I had to do a double take on her name and ask my hubby if he knew her. Ware is the family name on his mothers side. Ya never know. We could be related?
ReplyDeleteSunday Blessings to you
Cecile~
Thanks you Cecile, your hugs and prayers were received! My aunt maiden name was Scott, I pulled Ware from Roca Wear. Vivian is going to be this Aunt to Diamond. Every teenage girl needs a independant aunt to look up too! She taught me to educate yourself, work hard, buy your own car, house, etc if that what you want. Always remember you want the same if not the best for family.
DeleteShes smashing! And I am also sorry to hear about the loss of your Aunt. I give my condolensces and so does everyone here.
ReplyDeleteYour condolensces were greatly welcomed! Trust me Vivian is glad to be out the box!
DeletePlease accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your aunt. She sounds like such a remarkable woman. You were blessed to be raised in a family with such loving extended family members. I was too.
ReplyDeleteNaming a doll for your aunt is a very special way o keep her memory alive forever. I also have a few "tribute" dolls that represent relatives and loved ones who have gone home.
Enjoy Vivian!
