The little ladies new clothes

Lauren: "I'm ready Peeps! Sorry I took so long."
Iisabella: "I like your shoes too. Pretty like mine."
Scarlett: "Yes, they are cute. Anyway come on. Let's show our friends our new outfits. I'm going first."

Scarlett: "Hi Everyone. We finally have some new outfits to show you. I have a new top that used to be a toddler's dress. Brini fitted to me and added straps and I really like it. Come on Isabella your next."
Isabella: "Hola! Brini made me a custom dress using Simplicity 4707 sewing pattern. The bodice was made from recycled chambray from her dress and a .20 cents baby shirt from the Goodwill. I like they way it turned out."

Isabella: "Check out my shoes. Aren't the cute? These are My Life doll shoes from Walmart. The run about $3.95 and fit my feet too! Me and Lauren can share shoes and that's a wonderful thing. Ok, Lauren, your turn."
Lauren: "Hi Everyone. I'm so excited to have a new out and shoes. I thought I was going to be in my school uniform forever. Anyhoo, I was lucky to have a whole outfit sewed by Brini. She used Simplicity 0170 American Girl sewing pattern. Like Isabella, my skirt was made from Brini's dress and my top was created with scraps from a tunic she is working on. I really like them both."
Lauren: "My shoe are the same Walmart brand as Isabella's. My Life doll accessory line and I'm glad we can share shoes too."
Scarlett: "There you have it my friends. New outfits.  Finally."
Lauren: "Doing it big in "The D!"
Isabella: "Doing my happy dance."

Introducing Lauren and Lacie!

Scarlett: "Hi Everyone. I was told I had to do this so I have to do it."
Brini: " I can hear you Scarlett."
Scarlett: "ooohhhh. Well my sister is here and her name is Lauren."
Lauren: "Hello Friends. I have actually been here for awhile, stuck in my box."
Scarlett: "Well now your out and getting all the attention."
Lauren: "You mean, loovvveeee. Don't hate!"
Isabella: "No te olvides de mí, hermana."
Scarlett: "English Ms. Castineiras. You are not in even in this conversation. Where are you clothes anyway?"
Lauren: "Isabella, where are you clothes?"
Isabella: "I don't know, I'm just naked. Yaaayyyyy!"
Lauren: "Hee, hee, hee. Isabella you are so funny."
Isabella: "I will be getting a new dress soon."
Scarlett: "So you are walking around naked?"
Isabella: "Si!"
Scarlett: "I'm so over you two."
Isabella: "I'm so excited, I'm getting a new outfit!"
Lauren: "Scarlett, I have something for you."
Lauren: "I'm glad we are sisters."
Isabella: "Oh she pretty Scarlett. Muy bonito!"
Scarlett: "She looks like me! She's gorgeous."
Scarlett: "Thank you so much Lauren. I glad we are sisters. I love you."
Lauren: "I love you and Isabella too. When I saw her I knew I wanted to get her for you."
Isabella: "Me encanta todo el mundo también."
Lauren: "So Friends, I am a My Life 18 in doll. I am the School Girl version and I am wearing my original school girl outfit as well as glasses. They can be easily removed but I look so cute in them.  I got Brini attention right off the bat and when I ended up in her shopping cart I know I was headed to Dotsville to be loved out the box. I hope to see everyone soon!"

Brini: "I am so into this 18in doll! She is so cute in person and her little school girl outfit is very well made. The pleated plaid skirt and layered shirt are two separate pieces. I purchased her back in November for under $30.00 at Walnart. She is the second version of this doll, the previous one has been retired. I could never find her here in Charlotte so I missed out. Both dolls shared the same description stating they like science, math and art so I hope young girls pick up on this! If you want to learn more about her and other dolls in this line, you can find it here. Since the battery was running down on my camera I snapped a few more photos of her and Lacie.
Here's a close up of her face. Love her makeup!
This is how she looks without her glasses. Look at those eyes. See her cute smile?
Little Lacie was found during one of my insomnia nights and scanning Ebay. She is a 9in Zapf Creation doll and she is wearing her original outit, san shoes(which I will need to make or knit her some booties).
Here's a close up of her cute as a button face. I have so much love for this vintage brand. She's the perfect size to sit on Scarlett lap or my desk. Her name came about when she arrived and the first thing I saw was her lace collar, and it suits her well. She is about 9 inches in length, nice soft cloth body and really cute brown eyes. Although I tried to keep the strands out of her face, her hair is thick and nicely rooted. I'm glad she here in Dotsville!

A present for Scarlet

Scarlet: "Hi Everybody!!" I know you don't see me much but I am here in Dotsville, enjoying life. I know Cara and her crew are always doing something."
Scarlet: "I received I gift from Brini and I want to share it with everyone."
Scarlet: "I can't imagine what it is..."
Scarlet: "YYYAAAHHHHH!!!! Just what I always wanted. My very own doll! She is a mini American Girl Doll."
Scarlet: "She sure is cute like me! I'm so happy.  Her name is Cecile and she stand 6 inches tall. She wearing a teal and black dress with attached white pleated inset top, long white bloomers, white socks, black boots with gold buttons. She has dark curly hair and it is accented with two ponytails tied with white ribbons. Something the used to wear way back. She also comes with a book that tell me all about her. Say hi Cecile."
Cecile: "Hi."
Scarlet: "You can say more than that."
Cecile: "I'm just checking things out."
Scarlet: "She even has a book telling all about her. See?""
Scarlet: "Yup that's her. I can't want to read about it."
Scarlet: "You see, she is the first AG doll in Dotsville, so she is really special. Over here it was all about Barbie. I mean Barbie, Barbie, Barbie. That is until I came on the scene. If you know Brini you know she is soooo jealous of DBG. Yup, really jealous, hee. heee. I think she coming to terms with it. She understand it take years to have an exquisite collection like hers. I'm glad she reads her blog too. She always learns sooo much. She read this particular doll and three other of her friends are going to be discontinued. It's sad that this is going to happen but it allowed for me to have my very own doll. Thank you DBG!!  The information you share is always invaluable. It time for me and Cecile to go. I need to go introduce here to Bear. Here she is again. Bye."

HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYBODY!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to say Thanks to our Father the Almighty who has continuously watched over this household. As we strive to stay in his favor there are families who are struggling to make it through the days ahead. My prayers go up and out to all them at this time.  I am truly thankful for my family, friends, followers and for the light that shines on me.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Happy Easter

Hello I was listed on Ebay as a Vintage Zapf Creation 22" African American Girl Doll with box. I was in the original box and original clothes straight from the doll manufactor. I had no name and was so ready for a new home. I was so happy that Brini open her arms to me. She told me the whole reason she was searching high and low for a Vintage Zapf Creation Doll was due to this blog post here and she wasn't going to give up. She was originally looking for that Zapf Creation Doll named Jessica but she found me instead! I'm so loved here. As you can see I had to get out of the packaging box and check things out.

After a thoroughly check, Brini wanted to make sure I was in prestine condition, which is recommend by DGB. She always says to look your dolls over and check for "imperfections". Trust me she did and I think the only thing was wrong was my socks were a little discolored. I let her know I was sitting in a box not knowing what my future holds. My dress was perfect as in my hair, shoes, undies and body. I passed the test and here is my first picture. I really like this chair and some days I'm sitting her with the remote in my hand. I do like it here along with the other dolls.

When I first arrived here in Dotsville there were Barbies everywhere. I mean they were in boxes in the closet, posed on shelves, sitting on shelves, waiting to be changed, waiting to photgraphed. Just everywhere and I was wondering where my size dollies were but there weren't any. I just knew I was going to be spoiled. I had already had a wardrobe waiting for me. Can anyone say loved. I am very loved.

Pick-A-Boo!! Today I get ready for my first Easter picture. I look so pretty and I just love my dress.

Ok, I'm almost ready, hee hee. I was trying not to get dirty and spoil the picuture so I'm almost ready. Hee, Hee.

Ok, I was a little fussy because I wanted Bear in the picture. You see he sits on a shelf too. He is surrounded by Barbies so I fiqured he can take the picture with me. Bear is my best friend!

So my friends, my name is now Scarlett. Brini says as soon as she took me out the box she knew that was my name. I know she still looking for Jessica and that fine with me. As you can see I am spoiled but most important...LOVED.

Happy Easter everyone.
