It did not dawn on me until today to start stating who my dolls used to be. So please accept my apologizes. So from now on when the dolls are introducing themselves to you, they'll get a chance to tell you who they where before. I don't know why it did not occur to me especially when I read blackdollcollecting.blogspot.com like my morning newspaper! Just a wealth of information on all dolls!! Thank you Debbie, you are so loved over here.
On that note, Ann & Nathaniel are the Happy Family Grandparents. They were part of the giftset that included a great kitchen with really fun accessories (Hey Vanessa of Van Doll Treasures, stored in the attic, there is absolutely no room in the basement!) I just had to get them, the dolls finally had parents, I mean Cara had parents!!
Free Moving Cara and Free Moving Curtis have kept their names respectfully. There was no way I would change their names. They were perfect.
What can I say about Barbie Basic #08. As soon as I opened the box I knew her name would be Vanessa! She just stunning and in my opinion a great addition to the family.
Of course, the real spoiled one of the bunch is Beauty, which is her original name.
A community where my dolls take over and share their lives with you and sometimes let me be a part of it all too.

A visit with the parents
I hope eveyone enjoyed MLK day and if you had a day off, you enjoyed it too. I had good intentions to post the visit with the parents but the couch got the best of me and lately it has been winning. So what was my girl Cara doing while she waiting on Curtis to show up? She was hanging out with her parents. Oh yes, they have adventures too.
Cara: "Hi Daddy and what in the world did you buy now?"
Dad: "Hey Babygirl. Beauty needed a new bed so she will stay off our bed. She has a passion for your mother's expensive duvet."
Cara: "Does she now. Here let me help you. I think you buy her something every week."
Dad: "No, it just seems like it, hehehee."
Mom: "Hey sweetie, how are you? Down Beauty!"
Cara: "Hi Mommy, why is Beauty so spoiled? Did you and Daddy teach her to drive too?"
Mom: "Down Beauty, She like to check things out since she didn't go. Anyway, you look very comfortable. Here let sit, hold on sweetie. Honey do you need any help?"
Cara: "Mommy, I asked him and he said he was ok".
Cara: "Hi Beauty, you are such a spoiled dog, yes, yes you are."
Mom: "You know the only reason she is spoiled is because of you. She has a show coming up in a few months so me and your dad will be working on that".
Cara: "Are you going to get her a new handler or keep Ashley?"
Mom: "It will be up to Ashley. You know she has a little girl now. She is about the same age as Crystal twins. She is such a cutie."
Cara: "Speaking of Crystal. The last time I talked to her, she mentioned Diamond got her driver license. I remember when she was five and said she wasn't going to drive she was going to have a chauffer, hehehee."
Mom: "Well, honey she is driving now. She called and said she would stop by this weekend. I hope she makes it. I would love to see her."
Cara: "Oh no, I have a conference in Detroit this weekend, so I'm going to miss her."
Dad: "Ok my lovely ladies, we need to get going it almost time."
Cara: 'Yes it is Daddy, let me go get ready. Don't forget to introduce yourselves to our new friends. Mommy where did I put my shoes?"
Hello friends! My name is Ann and this is my husband Nathaniel. We both retired from Mattel's. I was a graphic designer and he was a chemical engineer. We have five beautiful children that we are very proud of as well as seven grandchildren that keep us on the move. Welcome to our home.
